About this Virtual Run: The 6th Annual Sandy Hook 5K taking place in Newtown, CT invites runners/walkers from all over the world to join us virtually where ever they are located. Help us show Newtown that LOVE RUNS THROUGH! All proceeds will be distributed to the chosen nonprofit organizations of those that lost loved ones on 12/14/2012 at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
About The Charity: The Sandy Hook 5K is planned by an all volunteer committee. Since the first event in 2013, more than $600,000 has been raised by participants and donations. The Sandy Hook 5K is a family event that has become a favorite for many runners in CT and beyond, who travel to join us or participate virtually.
Virtual Strides Partner Event: This event is part of the Virtual Strides Partners Program. The Sandy Hook 5K will receive 100% of the net proceeds from this event after Virtual Strides’ partner costs are deducted.
