About this Virtual Run: Heroes for Heroes is a nonprofit with a grand mission to raise funds in an effort to assist Veterans with getting service dogs at NO COST. The funds raised are donated to their partner, Custom Canines Service Dog Academy.
American Family Insurance’s Veterans and Military Business Resource Group Dough for Dogs Event also sets out to raise money for Custom Canines Service Dog Academy. Through this annual event they have been able to sponsor multiple dogs for veterans.
We encourage all participants to run or walk this 5k distance whenever and wherever they want. The adorable 4″ medal features a Custom Canines service dog with an attached Heroes for Heroes dog tag.
About the Charity: Custom Canines Service Dog Academy is a nonprofit organization of volunteer professionals and individuals who embrace the endeavor of creating and supporting lasting partnerships between highly skilled service dogs and the community of mankind with diverse disabilities and impairments, thus greatly enhancing their quality of life.
