About this Virtual Run: Support Sarasota County Schools and join the first annual virtual 5K! A virtual race is a race that can be run or walked from any location you choose between March 1st and March 31, 2019. You can run, jog, or walk on the sidewalk, on the trail, or on the track. Students, families, and staff are encouraged to join! Once you complete the race, report your time on the website to receive your medal. All participants will receive a medal when they report their time or at the end of the race period, whichever comes first.
About the Charity: The proceeds from the virtual 5k will go to the school of your choice that is selected during the registration process. Schools will receive a percentage of the money raised based on their individual number of registrations. The school with the most registrations will receive an additional bonus. Schools may use the proceeds to support student education and growth.
Virtual Strides Partner Event: This event is part of the Virtual Strides Partners Program. Sarasota County School District will receive 100% of the net proceeds from this event after Virtual Strides’ partner costs are deducted.
