The Paddock Mall will be hosting Marion County’s first annual Halloween 5k/10k chip timed walk/run featuring food trucks, live music, costume contest, & more! If you can’t make it to the race, no worries, the virtual race will be just as fun! Run or walk whenever and wherever you want to earn this spook-tacular 6″ Halloween medal featuring a glow-in-the-dark moon and a hanging spider web charm.
This is the 1st of 4 Super Races in the Big Hammock Race Series! The BHRS is a 10 race series throughout North and Central FL that allows runners/walkers of all levels to earn prizes & perks as they work to complete their fitness challenge. The year long series gives participants the ability to challenge themselves by acquiring points based on their race finish &/or simply complete each race at their own pace to achieve series prizes.
About the Charity
The proceeds from the race will help benefit the Marion County Children’s Alliance. The Marion County Children’s Alliance mission is to improve the lives of Marion County children by providing resources which enable nonprofit organizations serving these children to operate more effectively and by providing safe, effective services of the highest quality.
Virtual Strides Partner Event: This event is part of the Virtual Strides Partners Program. The Marion County Children’s Alliance will receive 100% of the net proceeds from this event after Virtual Strides’ partner costs are deducted.
