About this Virtual Run: The first ever Sangria 5k Dash will be held on October 29, 2016 in Island Grove, FL. The race starts at the Island Grove Wine Company winery and makes its way through a blueberry plantation and natural Florida property, ending at the historic 1897 homestead where the Fall Winery Festival is held the same day. If you can’t make it to the physical race on 10/29, you can still support the cause and earn this awesome IGWC Sangria fruit skull themed race medal by participating virtually!
Register anytime before November 13, and then run or walk 3.1 miles whenever and wherever you want. All participants will receive a custom digital race bib and this gorgeous medal, inspired by the Sangria Skull label on the Island Grove Wine Company Sunshine State Berry Sangria.
About the Charity: The Island Grove Wine Company is proudly hosting this event to be able to give some of the proceeds to the Cross Creek Fire Department. As a long standing business in their community, Island Grove Ag Products has almost 30 years as a farming operation and have needed the help of this volunteer organization over the years. It has been a life-line for Island Grove employees and their families locally, as well as the entire local community. The Cross Creek Fire Department operates on donations and fundraisers, and the Island Grove Wine Company is thrilled to be able to help them reach their goals this year with the proceeds from this race.
