About this Virtual Run: Since 2014, Virtual Strides has raised more than $1.1 million for over 200 different charities through our virtual races, but it is no surprise that the current humanitarian crisis in Ukraine has quickly become one of the most requested causes the virtual race community has ever asked us to support. We are delaying our planned April event and are instead opening registration for the Stand with Ukraine virtual race immediately.
Stand up and show your support for the people of Ukraine by running, walking, biking, or swimming whatever distance you choose, anytime and anywhere. All participants will receive a 4″ medal that represents the incredible strength of the Ukrainian people, in addition to a blue and yellow “Stand With Ukraine” silicone bracelet.
Matching Shirts: Add a Stand With Ukraine or a Stop Wars shirt to your registration for an additional $20 ($18 for Club VS members). Royal blue shirts are 50/50 poly/cotton dryblend, available in adult sizes S-XXL:
About the Charity: United Help Ukraine is a non-profit organization started in 2014 by a small group of people who met at a protest in Washington D.C. Most of them had a personal connection to Ukraine. They are a grassroots, entirely volunteer-based organization. Their focus areas are providing medical supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, personal protective, medical, and survival equipment, providing humanitarian aid, supporting wounded warriors and their families, and raising awareness of Ukraine’s struggle for freedom and independence.
